Egg in a Nest

Step 1 · Cut Hole in Bread

Cut a round hole from the center of the bread slice.

Step 2 · Heat Skillet

Heat the butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat, then add the bread and the cut-out piece.

Step 3 · Cook Egg

Crack the egg into the hole in the bread. Season with salt and black pepper.

Step 4 · Finish Cooking

Cook until the bread is golden underneath, then flip carefully and cook until the egg is done to your liking.
